Nice effort

The game needs a few touch ups (more excitement, for example. The game is unfairly boring) but overall it's a good effort. Obviously you know your actionscript very well. To program for this must've been a pain in the ass. Graphics were outstanding but could still use a little improvement. The purpose of the game was kind of unclear, as i found myself wandering ahead with nothing in front of me other than clams and bubble fountains... Figured it out after a bit, but if i was dumber than smart i would've not understood it. Remember to make your games more idiotproof (as there's a lot of idiots out there who'll mark you low because they think "the game sucked") and meaningful. Overall it's a good game though. I'll give you that. You get a 3/5. It'll help your game survive and perhaps you can improve it so that next time i play it it'll be that much better ;)

Very good effort! Keep it up!

Great effort

Liked the game, and even though it's a format that has been used, adding your own bits and pieces made it original.

A few actionscript flaws however. The enemies hurt the player even after it destroys them. That shouldn't be, as it gives the player no time and space to escape.
The autofire on the other hand makes it easy to shoot down enemies by using the shuriken as a machine gun. Make it harder and decrease the auto fire rate.

Apart from those few flaws, don't change a thing.

Last pointer. Move the preloader to the start, not to the second scene. It kind of messes up things as it has to load that starting segment before the preloader rather than after.

Great game though. Keep up the good work.

Not up to scratch

Newgrounds states this in the rules as well and i agree completely.

Pre production behaviour is not acceptable on this site. You either have your piece done right when submitted or get ready to be set on fire by the rest of the users.

This is not secondary school and extensions will NOT be given.

I'll be lenient this time and i'll press "3" to not lower your score (too much) but the next time this happens, your work is BLAMMED!

Not bad. Not bad at all...

Very bold attempt at making a game here. I admire your effort. There are a few bugs in it that you might have to work on fixing however.

The crosshair goes out of place on its own sometimes, which makes it hard to aim at fast moving objects/shoot while moving.

The gun response time is a little too short. May be because of my machine's speed, but played at a normal pace i would've needed a few extra hundreths of a second to take a shot.

Apart from that, everything's well done. The treatment for this game must've been extensive, due to the amount of user interaction/role play present in the game.

Keep up the good work. I wanna play this version when those tweaks have been done to the game.

I'm being more than generous...

Sorry to break it to you, but this game needs a bit of work. It's too slow paced and the grenades following the ship take away the realism as well as the chance to be accurate in your shots. It shame, because the interactivity level is there and the graphics only need a little more tweaking. As for sound... You need something more fast paced. Something that'll get the player going, that'll make 'em say "i gotta get through this god damned level!". Enough bad points, though. It's a nice piece of work. The idea works and once the game will be made over it'll be a good playable experience.

I animate once in a while. Just because i can.
